New Artist Friends

What has been a wonderful wax journey over the last 6 years has been all the people I have met around Edmonds and while traveling and teaching around the US, mostly in the southwest during the winters when it rains in the Seattle area. It gets too gloomey as the rains come in and it is time to head for the sun. Through the web of course it opens up contacts around the world and of late I have chatting with a new friend in Mexico City who loves to paint and has been looking at my videos online. It has been so attractive she has just decided to make the leap into wax and I thought it might be fun to see where the journey leads her over time. So I asked her if I could post some of the images she had just sent me of some of her current work she just finished. Then when she gets her iron out which just arrived and begins to explore wax you can then see what she creates. It just might inspire some of those artists who are in another media to give this a try.

So I want to introduce you to Jeannette Miguélez Hernández from Mexico City and her work in acrylics. Here are three of her latest paintings and as she sends me her work in wax I will be posting her results. Stay tuned. I can't wait to see what she begins to discover in wax.
