Below are some examples using patterns, embedding tissue, laying down hot glue and then covering with mat media and Kleenex to create a paper base and then waxing and adding LumiArt paint with the wax and tissue. I have taken the first and last of these images and had them printed on glass and like the results on a clear glass tile and also a cutting board. The clock was done on a wooden frame with a paper stencil embedded in the wax and decorated with LumiArt and also raised clear gels.
Some Of My Latest Creations

I will have a show at Coldwell Banker Bain 108 5th Ave S. in Edmonds Wa during the month of August 08. The Fabric In Time painting below is the theme of the show as I remember the creative influence of my mother. The evening of August 21st from 5-8 is Art Walk in Downtown Edmonds and I will be there demonstrating during the reception. Hope to see some of you there.
Try new surfaces to work on. Here is cotton lintner used for paper making. Soaks up a lot of wax but different effect. Also I got a wonderful fathers day card from my grandson (hoped he wouldn't mind at age 2 if I cut it up) and wondered if we could do a joint project on his newsprint drawing. So I took a section and waxed and also put some LumiArt on the surface. Fun to have a co op project with grandkids. Next is a stained glass pattern that I waxed the face and arms first then did an outline of the pattern with hot glue and filled in each section with thick gel medium and laid a one ply piece of kleenex on that and waxed and also left some space for some LumiArt as well.
Coffee filters gave me the next series of inspiration along with the idea to wrap canvas with tissue wet with mat media. When dry it makes the canvas tight and made a nice back drop for the filters that were waxed. I used LumiArt to color the tissues. Here is a series of four that I call the global series.
